Cracking my right wrist to relieve pain?
I have this problem whereby sometimes the joints in my right wrist starts to hurt or tighten a little and i have to crack my wrist backward or forward to relieve the pain. It does make a sound. Has this problem occurred do to my past consistent cracking of the wrist? ( I used to crack in the past for the fun of it )
Can anyone give me some help on this? Should i seek a doctor? Thanks.
Usually, people get that in relation to a shoulder problem. Their shoulder doesn’t function properly and the rest of the arm compensates with abnormal motion. When your wrist is forced to move repeatedly in ways it really isn’t supposed to, sometimes the bones “stick” for lack of a better word. The technical term for that is subluxation. When you crack your wrist back like that, you are pushing one or more of the wrist bones back into their proper place. However, you don’t know the correct way to do that and could easily injure your wrist. The best thing to do is to go see a chiropractor and explain what is going on with your wrist. He’ll examine your entire body’s motion during gait (walking) and various routine motions and probably take a close look at your shoulder (lots of other things can cause this by the way, it’s just commonly the shoulder is all).
